hey man no problem at all I would love to chat! my time remaining at amazon is limited so i want to just help others as much as I can

I would say the two things that really began the snowball effect of me taking control of my work stress were journaling, and breath work (edited)

just journal about literally anything, just the act of writing has been so impactful on all aspects of my life. and then looking back and reflecting on what you wrote as time passes really puts things into perspective and you start to see patterns and you start to see all the progress you are making

and the breath work is just like anytime I would feel massively stressed or anxious taking a minute or two and regulate my breath really calmed me down to get me to take actionable steps in some direction, rather than just being in a negative thought spiral. I love the box breathing technique:

  1. deep breath in, can be a number of seconds, or what I really like is counting my heart beats.
  2. hold your breath for the same amount of time/heart beats
  3. slow breath out for same amount of time/heart beats
  4. hold for same amount of time/heart beats
  5. repeat as necessary until you feel calm and ready to do what needs to be done
